Sealy will launch a pressure-relieving gel grid design, as well as an eco-friendly mattress collection and a premium hybrid collection for 2022.
The gel grid layer is a new technology for the company, and Furniture Today got the scoop on the new product during the company’s recent earnings call.
“We plan to launch a Sealy mattress with a best-in-class pressure-relieving gel grid layer at a consumer-appealing mid-market price point designed to target the niche market of consumers looking for a nontraditional feel at a non-premium price point,” Scott Thompson, chairman, CEO and president of Tempur Sealy, said during the call, according to FT.
“Consumers have a growing appreciation for the importance of sleep to overall health and wellness and, as a result, are increasingly searching for new solutions and technology to help improve their sleep,” Thompson added. “We have a strong legacy of delivering award-winning products that provide breakthrough sleep solutions to consumers, backed by over a century of knowledge and industry-leading R&D capabilities. Our planned 2022 product launch simplifies how we will relentlessly drive innovation to continue to bring consumer-centric solutions to market.”
