Kayfoam Woolfson, an Ireland-based foam producer and bed manufacturer, has been acquired by Leggett & Platt from FL Partners, a Dublin-based private equity group that acquired Kayfoam Woolfson back in 2007.
Terms of the takeover have not been disclosed and the Carthage, Missouri-based conglomerate has not announced the deal to the stock exchange, which shows that the value doesn’t meet its disclosure threshold.
Kayfoam is a premium foam and bedding manufacturer serving the U.K. and Ireland markets with two manufacturing facilities in the Dublin area. Its Kaymed brand is well known in the U.K. for being a niche player in the higher end of the market.
L&P is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of innerspring components operating in the U.K. and across Europe, and lists a huge swathe of the British bed manufacturing trade as customers.
