Creative Adds Three Mattress Fabric Veterans to Team

Fabric provider Creative (formerly Creative Ticking) has added three mattress fabric sales and design veterans—Camilla Franklin, Lynn Pappas and Mason Hallet—to the team.

Franklin, now vice president of design and marketing for the Gastonia, North Carolina-based company, reports to Parker Sytz, creative director of business development. Her responsibilities include product mix oversight, managing customer relationships, and assisting in new business development.

“(Franklin’s) focus will be on developing and marketing Creative’s key strengths and values and ensure our innovation partners, and, Creative, can grow together through innovative marketable fabrics and covers for a good value,” says Sytz.

Most recently, Franklin was principal with Franklin Charles Textiles, a ticking supplier she founded with Hallett. Her career includes stints with current and former major ticking suppliers, including BekaertDeslee, DesleeClama, Lava Textiles and the former Blumenthal Print Works.

“I am impressed with the capabilities of Creative in both knitting and cut and sew,” Franklin says. “Beverly Knits, the parent company, is the largest circular knitter in the country with a very diverse customer base, including automotive and apparel, so the opportunity for cross-pollination is endless.” 

As design director for Creative, Pappas reports to Franklin will develop unique products for the marketplace. She brings an extensive background in mattress fabric and sewn cover design to her new post, most recently working as an industry supplier for Innofa. Prior to that, she worked for the former Blumenthal Print Works and the former Burlington House Fabrics Group, a division of Burlington Industries.

“Lynn’s flair for color and style, and her understanding of the cover, will help the team take Creative to the next level,” Franklin adds.

Hallett has taken a sales post with Creative, reporting to Sytz. He brings more than three decades of ticking and sewn goods sales experience to his latest assignment and spent much of his career with Blumenthal Print Works, and other industry suppliers. 

“We are thrilled to continue to grow Creative with the addition of these three new team members, Sytz says. “We believe their many years of experience will be integral in helping us expand. Each of these members brings a unique background and set of skills that we believe complement our long-term strategy well.”
