Most fashion shows don’t begin with four models lying on mattresses and not wearing any of the designer clothes they’re there to celebrate.
But, that was exactly the case when Project Runway winner and fashion designer Christian Siriano took Beautyrest’s Black collection to the runway for his new fall/winter ready-to-wear collection.
Two models—Coco Rocha and Martha Hunt—rose from the mattresses to kick off the show, before donning their first looks and walking the runway. Inspired by Siriano’s recent trip to Aspen, Colorado, he imagined a dreamlike alternate reality in the mountains, and Beautyrest mattresses set the scene for the dreamscape.
