$10 Million Wager Pays Off Off For Mattress Mack

After betting $10 million on his beloved Astros, Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale took home nearly $75 million — which is believed to be the largest payout in the history of legal wagering.

This wasn’t the first big win for the owner of Gallery Furniture. Earlier this year he picked up nearly $6.3 million for a winning $3.2 million bet on Kansas to win the NCAA Tournament in March.

But he’s also lost his fair share, losing $9.5 million on the Cincinnati Bengals to win Super Bowl LVI in February and more than $6 million on Alabama to win the College Football Playoff in January.
